Meets

A.

All athletes not competing are to attend the meet where they will help work and support the team. All athletes will stay at all home meets until the conclusion of the meet and all equipment is put away.

B.

Because of the four level competition at dual meets, it is estimated that these contests will not end until approximately 6:00 p.m. As such, it is necessary to inform your parents in order that scheduling conflicts are resolved prior to the meet.

C.

The following schedule will be used to put equipment away after the conclusion of home dual meets:

- Jumpers-shovels, rakes, chairs, flags, cones, pits and tape measures (i.e. all the equipment used in the long, triple and high jumps)

- Throwers-tape measures, chairs, clipboards and assist the Pole Vaulters in moving their pits

- All runners-starting blocks, hurdles tables, timing equipment, chairs etc.

After this is done, a short team meeting will be held at the east goal posts. After the meeting, athletes will be excused.

D.

No food will be allowed at dual meets.

E.

Proper behavior is necessary on and off the field of competition.

F.

Transportation: Cooperate with the bus driver and follow the rules for bus riders. No food or drink (except for water bottles) will be allowed on the bus for dual meets. Athletes will ride the bus to all meets unless other school transportation is arranged. Students may ride home from dual meets with their parents, only with prior mutual agreement between Coach Summers and the parent and only if the proper paperwork has been filled out by the parent. Athletes will be on the bus, fully dressed and equipped at least five minutes before departure time.
